The 10-Minute Daily Yoga Flow for Total Beginners
Yoga is overhyped and underrated at the same time. It won't cure your problems, but a 10-minute daily practice quietly transforms posture, mood, and stress over months. Here's the routine for absolute beginners.
The 10-Minute Daily Flow
Mountain Pose (30s)
Stand tall, feet hip-width. Hands at sides. Breathe deeply. Sets the stage.
Forward Fold (1 min)
Hinge at hips, let head hang. Bend knees as needed. Releases hamstrings and lower back.
Downward Dog (1 min)
Hands and feet on floor, hips toward ceiling. Pedal feet. Strengthens shoulders, stretches hamstrings.
Cobra (1 min)
Lie on belly, palms under shoulders, lift chest gently. Opens chest, counters slouching.
Child's Pose (1 min)
Knees wide, sit back on heels, forehead to mat. Restful.
Cat-Cow (1 min)
Hands and knees. Inhale belly down, exhale round spine. Spinal mobility.
Pigeon (2 min, one each side)
From downward dog, bring one leg forward and rest on outer hip. Deep hip opener.
Final Rest (1.5 min)
Lie on back. Eyes closed. Breathe.
What to Wear
Stretchy fitness shorts or yoga pants. Bare feet. No equipment needed except a mat.
